Why Foster?
Fostering is a great way to help and enjoy an animal, without making a lifetime commitment.
We’re always on the lookout for good foster (temporary) homes for our cats and dogs. Sometimes, a forever home is not readily available, or the animal needs to be nursed back to health before being adopted.
We also often need foster homes for our travelling animals. This is short-term and can help us and our export partners get an idea of how our rescues behave in a home environment, as well as give the animals a chance to relax in a home before they fly.

What You Need To Be Able To Foster
- Safe, clean place for the animal to sleep
- In the case of a dog, space for exercise (yard or commitment to walk)
- Food bowls
- Food
- Toys
- Affection and attention to give to animals
