Adopt a rescue animal

Every animal from Paws Rescue Qatar is matched carefully with the home that suits their needs, temperament and future. The team reviews applications, talks through lifestyle and experience, and helps adopters understand the process before any placement is confirmed. We are firm believers in animals being for life and carefully consider those who may not have the means to relocate or commit long term to their pets.

We have dogs and cats of all ages, colours, shapes and sizes, all with different personalities and temperaments. Each animal is assessed to find out what they are like and what sort of home, lifestyle and environment would suit them best.

Qatar Adoption

We will review your form and see if the animal you wish to foster/adopt is a good match. If not we will suggest others we feel would suit your household. We endeavour to review your form and contact you within approximately 48 hours.

If there are many people wishing to adopt the same cat/dog, the first completed and most suitable application form will take priority.

We charge an adoption donation to cover some of the costs of looking after and treating the dogs and cats we rescue.

• For dogs this is 1200 QR
  This includes the dogs first vaccination (primary V7 and booster and a rabies vaccination), microchip, de-worming as per a dog’s schedule, sterilisation and any treatment the dog has needed in our care.
• For cats this is 750 QR.
  This includes the cat’s first vaccination (primary tri cat and booster and a rabies vaccination), microchip, de-worming as per a cat’s schedule, sterilisation and any treatment the cat has needed in our care.

International Adoption

In terms of process, we would set up a video call to go through any questions you and we may have. We are mindful that for most overseas adoptions you will not have the opportunity to meet your new pet, so try ensure you fully understand your chosen pet and give full transparency to their history. It can often take time to prepare an animal for international travel depending on destination so we ask for you to be patient with us whilst we do this- and of course we will keep you updated as much as possible! For UK adoptions, we operate through Paws Rescue UK - a UK registered charity.

For overseas adoptions, we charge a minimum adoption donation to contribute towards the costs of travel and medical/care requirements.

• Dogs:  GBP 450, EUR 500
• Cats: GBP 250, EUR 300

*other currencies such as USD and CAD will be calculated at the time based on exchange rate

All animals would come fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and sterilised. They will arrive with a vaccine booklet including their medical history. We follow all local and international guidelines and regulations on pet export and import.
