American School of Doha pays a visit to our retreat

In News, We Can't Do It Without You

We were delighted this week to host over 160 students over four days from the American School of Doha at our Paws Retreat as part of their ‘Week Without Walls’ initiative.

The students all had a chance to experience a little of everything with us: dog walking, cat cuddling, toy making, and painting projects. Our animals had so much attention!

This also provided us a wonderful opportunity to give a little insight into animal welfare in general, and how people can help animals here, and volunteer in the future.

We would like to thank Meika Weina from ASD for arranging everything for them and coordinating the week, as well as all the staff that came and supported the children, and to the children themselves for helping, being so well behaved and asking some very interesting questions!

Community initiatives such as these are very important to Paws Rescue Qatar in helping spread the word about what we do, and of course, hoping to raise awareness of the plight of animals here in Doha.  If you are interested in arranging a joint initiative like this, we’d love to hear from you!
